Preparing for Life after Launch

I attended Preparing for Life after Launch – Maximising Success Through Live Game Operations and Cross Platform.

I was part of the panel "Shop bought or home-made? The merits and pitfalls of writing your own engine versus using Unity or Unreal" hosted by the lovely Des Gayle. I was joined by fellow panelists Gorm Lai (Kotori Studios), Andy Esser (Zero Dependency) and Jason Fielder (GaaSworks).

Here I shared my experiences of programming my own engine, which I am undertaking as part of my MSc. The progression of the engine can be found here.

Fellow panelists highlighted their experiences & gave their insight & opinion on the matter,
